- Dan Cohen, Director
Dan Cohen has been RMAE’s Director since the summer of 2009 and holds a non-voting seat on RMAE’s Board of Directors. He has been involved in various forms of education for twenty six years. He has taught in classrooms, national parks, and foreign countries. His work includes teaching and administrative endeavors in a variety of schools in California, Washington, Venezuela, and Colorado.
Dan, his wife, and their two daughters have lived in some of this country’s finest small towns, including Truckee, CA and Bainbridge Island, WA. They love the neighborly feel of small communities, especially those with a rampant outdoor life style. Having lived here for the last five years, Evergreen has become their favorite.

Ned Parker was elected to the Board in 2011 and has previously served as Secretary. He has sat on the RMAE Facilities Committee since 2009, working through both the lower level design and construction, and the campus master planning effort. He actively volunteers to help fix and address issues on the campus task list.
Ned is employed by LTK Engineering Services and is leading the railcar procurement for the Denver Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) FasTracks program. He is a professional engineer with an M.S., Mechanical Engineering, from The University of Michigan and a B.S., Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Ned and his wife Liesl have one daughter who has attended RMAE since 2008 and is currently in 4th grade. Liesl is the PTO Vice President, volunteers in the class room, helps run the RMAE library and book fairs.

Seth Anderson has served as a parent representative on the Board since 2010. He has also served on the facilities committee. He moved from Minnesota in 1997 to Denver, Colorado. In 2000, he moved to Evergreen and started a business in Denver in 2002. Since that time, he has been blessed with two wonderful children; both attend RMAE with one in 4th grade and the other in 1st. He wanted to be on the board because of the following reasons: two family members are attending RMAE, the book “Good to Great” added inspiration to him to help the community, to be part of a team that can make something great and impact many lives, and give back to the community.
His qualifications consist of being a leader for 10 years and helped our company increase from 4 people to 150 people and over $25M in revenue, budget management, goal setting, accountability, and the drive to make something as good as it can be.

Kelli Anderson has served on the Board since 2011 and she and her family have been involved with RMAE since the school opened in 2001. Over the last several years, she has served RMAE in the following positions: PTO Secretary and Treasurer (both 2 year terms), a volunteer on the Board Finance and Marketing Committee, a volunteer Librarian, a classroom volunteer, a Book Fair coordinator and a Community Service volunteer.
Prior to the time Kelli spent volunteering at RMAE and being a parent, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and has held positions in marketing, sales and bookkeeping. Recently she acquired her real estate license and works for a small local investment company. Kelli’s ultimate educational goal is to finish her Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Business Management.
Kelli and her husband have 4 children, ranging in ages 7 to 20 years. She has lived in Colorado since 1982 and in Evergreen for 12 years.

Kristen LaJoy was appointed to the Board in 2012 to fill the seat of a departing parent representative. She has been an active and dedicated parent and campus volunteer, serving with the PTO and volunteering her time in the classroom. She certainly deserves her monogrammed parking spot.
Kristen’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in business from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and a Masters plus 40 credits in Secondary Education with a specialty in Biochemistry at Dowling College in New York. She holds a teaching license in New York and Washington with a certificate to teach IB. Kristen taught for four years in New York at St. John the Baptist and for four years in Seattle at Edmonds-Woodway HS where she was the head of the science department.
Her family moved to Evergreen from Jackson Hole, WY eight years ago and Colorado is where they call home. Kristen and her husband, Ed, are proud RMAE parents.

Bob Fiore is a parent representative elected to the Board in 2012. Bob is married to Nancy, who is active in AAA and is a past Board Member. Bob and Nancy have two children. Kate Fiore is in 7th grade at RMAE and has attended since Kindergarten. Sam Fiore is in 5th grade and is attending a private school in Littleton.
Bob has done volunteer work for RMAE in the old facility as well as helped with the move to the current location. His family believes in RMAE, its Core Knowledge curriculum and the environment that has been fostered. He believes it is time to step up and involve himself to a higher degree and dedicate his efforts to the continued improvement of the school and our community.
Bob is an Engineer for a Medical Device Manufacturer in Lakewood and has been employed there for 25 years. The Fiores have lived in the Evergreen area for 16 years. Bob enjoys biking, fishing, skiing and all sorts of other family activities.

Christina Griggs is a new parent representative, elected to the Board in 2012. She has previously served on the RMAE Foundation Board. Christina brings over 15 years of experience working with private, non-profit and government entities in the fields of budgeting, fiscal requirements and challenges while developing long-term planning strategies and assessing organizational efficiency. She founded Gemsbok in 2001, providing an “integrated accounting” approach to consulting. Christina’s radar is always on, searching for patterns and delivering original solutions and ideas that reach well beyond traditional finance finesse. Refusing to spin the raw results of Gemsbok due diligence, she takes pride in problem-solving from an operational and fiscal perspective.
Christina has a daughter, Sarah, is currently in 2nd grade and a son, Jack, in the pre-school. She feels being on the Board of Directors will give her invaluable knowledge to how the school approaches education. This knowledge will allow her to confidently answer parent questions and assist in making decisions that will continue to make the education at RMAE excellent.
Christina has a B.A. in Business Administration from Principia College and has done extensive coursework in financial planning. Born in Canada and at home in the mountains, Christina serves on the board of the Colorado Fallen Firefighter Foundation, plays center position for the Tough Puckers, a team on the in the Rocky Mountain Hockey League and is fond of knitting Nordic sweaters and hiking with her family.

Jon Tesseo has been on the Board since February 2009 and has previously served as Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to joining the board, he served on the AAA Math Curriculum subcommittee, the Director Search Sub Committee, and various on campus volunteer positions. His daughter Sophia (4th grade in 12-13) has attended RMAE since the 05-06 school year. His wife Lalitny is a frequent on campus volunteer.
Besides being active at RMAE, Jon serves on the steering committee of the Quantitative Workers Alliance for Applied Finance, Education, and Wisdom (QWAFAFEW), is a member of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance, and is a Committee member of Boy Scout Troop 737, in Evergreen. He is a Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Analyst for Denver Investment Advisors, where he is in charge of developing and managing new and existing quantitative mutual funds, and institutional investment products, and is a frequent guest lecturer at The University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. Jon received his BS. BA. in Finance, from Bryant College, and has attended graduate school at DePaul, and The University of Nevada Reno.

Christine Riedlin is serving a one-year term as the Teacher Representative on the Board. She came to RMAE in 200x and has taught 1st grade since that time. She is universally loved by her students and parents.
She and her husband have successfully raised two children in the Evergreen community. As a testament to her parenting skills, both children have recently left home and haven’t moved back…yet.

Diane Sudmalis joined the board as a community representative in 2012. She brings a unique perspective as a retired educator, long-time Evergreen resident, and former teacher at RMAE during its formative years. She served as an RMAE middle school Math/Science teacher, chair and coordinator from 2002-2008. During that time she was a teacher representative to the Board, served on AAA, and was part of the team of staff and parents who helped restructure the MS math program and developed the science curriculum to emphasize experiential learning. She is very aware of the unique niche that RMAE fulfills for the Evergreen community.
Diane’s educational experience includes a BA, Biology, Southwestern College, KS and MAT, Botany, Duke University, NC with graduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC. Her teaching and department chair experience includes high school Biology in Kansas, Oklahoma (Bureau of Indian Affairs school), North Carolina, MS math/science in Germany (Department of Defense school), and RMAE.
She has lived in Evergreen for 23 years with my husband, Scott. Their son, Andris (RMAE 2002-2004) attends college in Massachusetts. She is a retired teacher and United Airlines flight attendant.
