What is PTO?

The RMAE PTO is all parents and/or legal guardians of students who currently attend RMAE elementary/middle school and preschool, as well as all current faculty and staff of RMAE.

Last year, through the efforts of PTO members/volunteers and PTO-sponsored events and functions, we raised more than $50,000 to support our students and teachers! This year, we have already raised more than $5,000, and the year has just begun! (top)

How to Join PTO

The annual membership fee per family is $25. Included in this fee is a school directory and RMAE water bottle. This $25 fee goes directly to programs supporting our students. (top)

What Can I Do To Support PTO?

You can help a lot by doing some very simple things!

  • Save your General Mills box tops and send them to school with your child(ren).
  • Buy King Soopers certificates through the PTO and use them as you would money at King Soopers, Safeway, and Albertsons. RMAE gets 5% for the total amount purchased. Certificates are on sale at the main campus and preschool every other Monday and Tuesday and are available for pick-up that Wednesday.
  • Pick up an Albertsons card from the main campus or preschool office. Present it to the Albertsons cashier upon checkout, and RMAE will receive a percentage of your purchase.
  • Volunteer! There are tons of volunteer opportunities available. Sign-up to be on a fundraising committee, work the science fair, book fair, help in the classroom, etc!
  • Attend the general PTO meetings. A schedule of meetings is on the RMAE calendar.
  • Show your school spirit! Purchase spirit t-shirts for $10, spirit sweatshirts for $20, or water bottles for $3. All proceeds go back to our students and teachers. (top)

Original Works

This is a creative FUNdraiser for RMAE students brought to you by the PTO!! All proceeds from this Original Works fundraiser will go to The PTO in order to enhance the quality of education for RMAE students.

Look for your child’s Original Works packet in the October 12, 2007 Friday Folder. You will have the opportunity to have your child’s own artwork reproduced onto a number of unique, full color products, such as luggage tags, key chains, ceramic tiles, note cards, T-shirts, towels, and mouse pads! Many of these items will make great holiday gifts for grandparents, relatives, and friends.

The packet includes your child’s artwork, Original Works letter and pamphlet. Orders will be due on Monday, October 22nd.

Students may submit more than one piece of art to be reproduced through Original Works. If you have another child who does not attend RMAE and would like to submit their artwork, you may do that also. Artists may use their own paper, white or colored, but it must measure 8” x 10 1/2 “. Please note that this is NOT a standard paper size. You will need to measure and trim standard white computer paper which is 8” x 11”. Each piece of artwork needs a separate order form.

Everyone is an artist! So ask your teachers, parents, friends, neighbors, and pets to submit their artwork and order forms. Transform your child’s masterpiece, or your own masterpiece into a personal gift for loved ones this holiday season. Your support of Original Works fundraiser not only increases your child’s self esteem, but also contributes to the education of all RMAE students.

Please contact Kathleen May with any questions at (303) 674-3475 or email evergreenmays@msn.com. (top)
