Ways To Give

ANNUAL GIVING: Each year, gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign support the environment and programs that differentiate an RMAE educational experience. It's an investment in professional development, curriculum enhancements, technology in the classroom and much more.

100 ELK SCHOLARSHIP FUND: All middle school students and staff begin the school year with a trip to 100 Elk in Buena Vista, Colorado. This is an important time for bonding through experiential education. Gifts to the Scholarship Fund make it possible for students to receive full and partial financial assistance for this trip.

MATCHING GIFTS: Many employers offer matching gifts that can maximize your support. Check to see if your company has a matching gift program by searching this matching gift database or contact your human resources department.

SPONSORSHIPS: Promote your business while underwriting some of the costs for our most important school needs. Sponsor banners are prominently displayed on campus, and sponsors are highlighted on our website as Community Sponsors.

GIFTS-IN-KIND: Items of tangible personal property such as art, books, equipment, and other personal assets or materials may be donated to RMAE. RMAE reserves the right to determine the Gift-in-Kind donations they will accept.

Donate Stock or Gifts of Appreciated Assets: Many donors are in a position to donate funds from a brokerage account. There can be a distinct tax advantage for you to to donate appreciated stock directly to RMAE PTO instead of liquidating the stock and donating cash. Please check with your financial advisor and/or CPA because generally you can deduct the full value of the appreciated stock, not pay capital gains on the appreciated amount and RMAE PTO then receives the full value – not an after tax cash amount.

IRA Distributions can be gifted to RMAE and reduce your income taxes or increase the amount you are able to donate to a qualified charity. IRA owners over the age of 70 ½ years of age can donate distributions directly to RMAE. While you won’t get a tax deduction for your charitable gift, the IRA distribution would be excluded from your taxable income and would count toward your annual required minimum, distribution (RMD).
