About Ms. Smith: She has a B.A. in English, a B.A. in Theater, and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education. Ms. Smith enjoys theater, movies, dancing (ballroom, swing and latin), reading and hiking. Ms. Smith was delighted to receive teacher recognition in winning both Middle School Teacher of the Year and the Jared Polis Teaching Award this past school year and this year being nominated for the STAR teacher council of the Colorado League of Charter Schools!

Interesting Fact: Ms. Smith has traveled to over 20 countries and lived in five different states. She spent the summer of 2012 volunteering as an English teacher at the Kilimanjaro Orphanage Centre in Moshi, Tanzania and returned the summer of 2014 when she summited Kilimanjaro along with 11 high school students, all to raise money for the Kilimanjaro Orphanage!
